中学校の思い出やそれに関連した問題は、よく出題されます。考え方として、中学校の思い出に残っていることやできごとを書く。 いつどこで、何をしたかを明確にする。
【1】思い出の出来事を書く
I climbed Mt. Fuji with my classmates last year.
（訳：私は、去年、クラスメイトと富士山を登った。）
I went to Tokyo on a school trip last summer.
（訳：私は去年の夏、修学旅行で東京に行った。）
【2】強く印象に残ったことを書く
Climbing the mountain was very hard.
（訳：山に登ることは、とてもきつかった。）
I watched a baseball game and it was exciting.
（訳：私は、野球の試合を観て、興奮した。）
【3】その思い出についての気持ちや感想を書く
I got tired, but I felt very happy on the top.
（訳：私は疲れていたが、私は頂上ではとても幸せに感じた。）
I want to climb Mt. Fuji again.
（訳：私は、もう一度、富士山に登りたい。）
I want to visit Tokyo with my family next time.
（訳：私は、次回は家族と東京に訪れたい。）
思い出でよく使える表現
【1】過去の事実や感情を表すときは、動詞や助動詞を過去形にする。
I visited Hokkaido for the first time last year. （訳：私は去年、初めて北海道を訪れました。）
I was very glad then. （訳：そのとき私はとてもうれしく思いました。）
We could see a lot of stars. （訳：私たちはたくさんの星を見ることができました。）
【2】I think (that) ~などの文で、文の動詞が過去形ならば that のあとの動詞も過去形にする。
I thought (that) the story I was sad. （訳：私は,その物語は悲しいと思いました。)
I understood (that) He liked a Japan.（訳：私は、彼は日本が好きなのだとわかりました。)
【3】be in the seventh grade 「中学1年生だ」「中学2年生」は the eighth grade,「中学3年生」は the ninth grade
I was in the seventh grade then.「訳：私はそのとき中学1年生でした」
【4】for the first time「初めて」
I came to Tokyo for the first time. 「訳：私は初めて東京に来ました」
【5】go ~ing「~しに行く」
We went swimming in the sea. 「訳：私たちは海に泳ぎに行きました」
【6】have a good time「楽しく過ごす」
I had a good time in Kyushu.「訳：私は九州で楽しく過ごしました」
【7】make friends with ~「~と仲よくなる」
I made friends with those children.「訳：私はその子どもたちと仲よくなりました」

My English teacher said my picture was the best. I was very glad. I came to this city two years ago. I had no friends here then, but everyone in my class was kind to me. I have many friends now. I am very happy at this school.
