学校を紹介する文の書き方
学校について紹介する内容を決める。学校名や所在地は最初に書いて、細かいことはあとで書いた方がいいでしょう。
- (所在地)・My school is in Osaka City. ・Our school is by the riVer.
- (学校名)・The name of my school is Sakura Dai-ni Junior High SC100,
- (創立からの年数)・My school is about sixty years old.
- (生徒数)・There are two hundred students in my school. (= My school has two hundred students.)
- (環境)・There is a large park near Our school. ・We can see a lot of mountains around our school.
- (特色)・Our baseball team is very strong. ・Our school festival is very exciting.
条件によっては、自分の感想などを加えてもよい。
I have a good time at school every day.
I enjoy my school life.
よく使う構文 There is [are] ~の文
「(場所)に~がある [いる」」と言うときは, ＜There is[are]+主語+場所を表す語句＞を使う。 主語が単数か複数かによってbe動詞の形が決まる。
- There is a library near my school. 私の学校の近くに図書館があります。
- There are a lot of trees in the schoolyard. 校庭には木がたくさんあります。
主語に the、this、所有格などがついて「~は(場所)にある [いる」」と言うときは、〈主語+be動詞+場所を表す語句〉の語順になる。
(○) The park is near the sea. その公園は海の近くにあります。
(×) There is the park near the sea.
学校の紹介でよく使える表現
- a lot of ~「たくさんの~」There are a lot of interesting places in our town. 「私たちの町にはおもしろい場所がたくさんあります」
- be famous for ~「~で有名だ」Our town is famous for apples. 「私たちの町はリンゴで有名です」
- in front of ~「~の前に」My school is in front of the library. 「私の学校は図書館の前にあります」
- more than ~「~以上の」There are more than three hundred students in our school. 私たちの学校には 300人以上の生徒がいます」
- on foot「徒歩で」 I went to the park on foot.「私は徒歩で公園に行きました」
自分の学校を紹介する例文
【例文1】Our school is forty-four years old. There are green mountains around our school. We read books for ten minutes every morning.
【例文2】My school is in Osaka City. My school is about sixty years old. There are two hundred students in my school. I have a good time at school every day.
